There are so many cool things going on right now - I can barely find time sit down and write this update. Yesterday I was on Peter Boyles USA Biker Nation show , along with Genevieve Scmidt of Woman Riders Now and Colleen Boyle, President of T3RG motorcycle training co. We were brought together to discuss women and motorcycling, mc training that is available in the Denver area and my book, Women In The Wind, Fearless Women of the 20th & 21st Centuries. All in all I think the radio show went quite well, with all of us participating in the lively conversation that ensued. Peter invited me to come back soon - so stayed tuned! (pun intended) A couple of Great Events for Women Riders are coming up... the first is the 2nd annual Female Ride Day "Female Ride Day is a synchronized day, worldwide, where women motorcycle riders demonstrate their enjoyement of motorcyle riding. The annual event takes place on the first Friday of May spotlighting women who ride. This is a day devoted to women of all ages and all experience levels to highlight their passion for the activity of motorcycle riding. 'On Female Ride Day, all we ask of women is to be on a motorcycle and just ride!' says Vicki Gray, campaign founder. Vicki is a motorcycle instructor and former mc racer who lives in Canada." Participants will be invited to submit a photographs capturing a moment during their Female Ride Day experience to the Motoress Female Ride Day Web site at: Motoress.com/Female Ride Day2008.asp

| The Other Event won't actually occur until August 19-22, 2009 AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference set for Colorado in 2009 Some of you know I rode to the last AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference which was in Athens, GA in 2006. That was a long, hot & humid ride, but worth the effort once I arrived. I can't believe how lucky we are to be hosting this event in Keystone, CO. ~ our own back yard. Certainly a much nicer ride than that last one! For more information about this prestigious event for women riders contact either: Peter Horst at peter.terhorst@sympoint.com, or Frank Covucci at fcovucci@ama-cycle.org Other Events Coming Up Soon |
